What is Professional Supervision?

In psychology and medicine, professional supervision ensures ethical and safe practice while preventing burnout. It provides a structured environment for professionals to reflect on their work, receive feedback, and enhance their skills, maintaining high standards of care and well-being.

How PAP Helps:

PAP addresses the unique challenges professionals face, offering regular, proactive supervision and on-demand access for debriefing tough days. This ensures continuous, comprehensive support tailored to your professional needs.

Comparison with EAP:

While Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) serve a broad clientele and are reactive, PAP is designed specifically for professionals. EAP is great for general employee support, but professionals need something more specialized to tackle their unique challenges.

Comparison with Executive Coaching Retainers:

PAP offers professional supervision run by experienced workplace psychologists who also provide coaching. Unlike Executive Coaching, PAP delivers this comprehensive support without the high price tag.

Who Provides the Supervision?

PAP will give you access to the highest level of trained supervision experts for your needs, a workplace psychologist.

These people have the qualifications, the experience and are accountable to their own professional body (meaning they have a legal requirement to provide ethical, researched and proven methods for supporting you). They also walk the talk, with supervision part and parcel of how they operate personally.

Unfortunately in NZ, you would typically wait 6-8 weeks to get an appointment with a psychologist, there are just not enough of us. PAP solves that problem, by having an agreement in-place with Glia, you will have guaranteed access to a workplace Psychologist, trained in professional supervision when you need it.

Here is how it works:

You subscribe to our program with a convenient monthly subscription fee paid monthly, allowing you timely access to your supervisor. The subscription allows Glia to reduce the typical wait times you'd experience when accessing workplace psychologists.
